CO-WRITTEN SCENE, COMPLETE
Back on the Hogwarts Express yet again, only this time heading into the final year at Hogwarts. Kurt would think it was bittersweet, if he didn't have other things on his mind at that moment as he sauntered up the aisle of the train full of witches and wizards adorned in their robes. God, the First Years were so goddamn tiny and irritating. He couldn't fathom himself ever being like that, people were just clearly breeding more whiny brats than when he first started at Hogwarts. Although, some people in his year had definitely fit that bill at the time, though Kurt hadn't deigned to give them the time of day.
And then there was Blaine.
Blaine, who drove Kurt wild right from the start. He had infuriated him and right from the first moment Kurt had laid eyes on him on the Hogwarts Express seven years ago, he had wanted to go up and smack him in the head with his wand. Kurt hadn't known for many years exactly what it was about Blaine that rubbed him up the wrong way. Yes, the rivalry and irritation over the Muggle-Born Gryffindor was probably irrational and OTT, but he was like Kurt's Achilles Heel and for years, they clashed in fiery confrontations. They competed, they glared at each other, they flipped each other off, gave each other the cold shoulder... yet, they always seemed to have reason to be in each other's presence, despite declaring they hated the sight of each other. Their rivalry was not only infamous, but amusing to a lot of people, though no one would ever say that to Kurt's face for fear he would hit them with a curse quicker than they could say 'Pure-Blood'. He was quite savvy with his wand when he wanted to be, and he really hated when people tried to fuck with him. It was hard to believe he actually had a friendly and affectionate streak, but to his friends, he definitely did. The Cold Hard Bitch act was dropped around people he trusted and loved, and those actually knew the real, whole package that was Kurt Hummel. But if he didn't like you, he just didn't like you.
( Which is why it was hard to understand why the clash with Blaine Anderson had lasted so long without Kurt attempting to charm his penis to his forehead and curse 'Dickhead' across his chest... )
